Gold Bracelets
Women and men alike have been wearing gold bracelets for literally thousands of years. Gold has been fashioned into a myriad of different styled bracelets over those years. In that time there have been trends that come and go but some of those designs are timeless and will always be in fashion.
1. Chain bracelets – Just like the gold chains we wear around our necks, gold chain bracelets come in a wide variety of styles, like the herringbone pattern that has been around for years; the traditional Italian designed Figaro chain; wheat chains that are made with four separate strands of gold; and the small linked loops that signify the Byzantine patterned chain.
A delicate gold chain bracelet is a subtle yet classy way to add some sparkle to either a stylish dress or casual wear. The look can easily become more modern when combined with gold bracelets of other styles. Thicker, heavier gold chain bracelets worn alone or with a thin bracelet can add texture to your attire.
2. Charm bracelets – Gold charm bracelets have been popular for a very long time. It is a way that women can personalize their jewellery by adding specific charms that signify something important in their lives. There are many different styles of charm bracelets from which to choose, not to mention thousands of charm designs. These fun bracelets can be both casual and formal.
3. Bangle bracelets – Bangle bracelets were made popular in ancient Egypt and are still in style today. These bracelets can be found in a variety of widths and can dress up any outfit because of the way the natural light sparkles off of them. Several thin gold bangles stacked one on top of the other make a very contemporary look. Bangles are great combined with things like colourful braided bracelets that can show off the beautiful gold tones.
Gold bangle bracelets may be either solid gold or hollow gold. The solid gold bangles are more durable and not as apt to dent or lose their shape as the hollow gold style. Solid gold bracelets are more expensive but they will ultimately last longer.
4. Cuff bracelets – Like bangles, cuff bracelets date back to the Egyptians and also come in widths from very narrow to very wide. They pair well with gold bangle bracelets and are particularly elegant worn alone.
5. Luxury or ornamental bracelets – Gold is probably the best metal for showing off the beauty of diamonds and other gemstones. A luxury bracelet either set with stones or made with delicate and detailed designs is an ideal piece of jewellery to wear with formalwear as well as a business suit or even a pair of jeans.
These are the tried-and-true classic styles of gold bracelets. There are many other types of gold bracelets from simple to ornate, delicate to thick and chunky, bracelets with complicated loops and twists, or bracelets with a variety of interesting and ornate shapes. Whatever design gold bracelet you choose you can take comfort in the fact that gold itself will never go out of style.
